Ir. Nuswardana Sarodja, B.Eng., M.Eng., MM. Ph.D (cand.)

Nuswardana Sarodja earned his Bachelor's degree from Saitama Institute of Technology Japan in Electron Medical Engineering. He was once trusted as Head of History and World Heritage Division at the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture. Previously, he worked at the Center for Pharmaceutical and Medical Technology of BPPT in the field of Technology and Medical Devices and Dawee Electronik Indonesia.

The story begins at the age of 16 in 1989 when he participated in a student exchange. At that time, he was still in grade 3 of SMAN 4 Jakarta and was selected to go to Japan in 1990. Thanks to the Habibie Program scholarship, Denny was able to experience studying in the Land of Sakura, more precisely at the Saitama Institute of Technology.

In 1990, he was declared to have passed the STMDP 1 Scholarship (Science & Technology for Manpower Development Program) and since 1990 he has been a CPNS. Denny admitted that he had met a senpai (senior student) who was studying in Japan. His senior told him the profiles of the professors in Saitama. So, he was able to find a professor in the field of Electron Medical Engineering that he wanted to study.

The professor in question is named Linuma. Denny's relationship with the professor was very close during his studies. It is not surprising that until now he still continues to communicate like a parent and parent house in Saitama. Because of this closeness, he once thought to always stop by Saitama Japan every year when visiting Japan because part of his heart was left there. Serving the Country after completing his status as a scholarship student (1990-2000) in Japan, Denny continued his doctoral program in Opto Electronics and Laser Applications at the University of Indonesia with a dissertation on 4th Generation Magnetic Resonance Imaging.

Until now he is still impressed by the integrity of his professor in Japan that he captured during the mentoring process. When this story was told, Denny still had the status of ASN at the Coordinating Ministry for PMK. More precisely, he was assigned to the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia. In addition, he also teaches Nihongo at Fikom, Pancasila University every Wednesday, in addition to teaching Indonesian to Japanese expatriates in Jakarta.

Denny was almost 10 years as a scholarship student in Japan. During that time, he was once the Secretary of the Chairperson of PPI Korda Kanto, Japan. According to him, there are memories every time he meets fellow scholarship recipients (IABIE) from various countries. In Denny's eyes; Japan, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Switzerland, France and Belgium are countries poor in natural resources. However, they are rich and prosperous mainly because of the wealth and thinking ability of their people.
